Does the curriculum have high-quality, developmentally appropriate content?

Partially Meets Expectations

The Creative Curriculum for Pre-K materials partially meet expectations for providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate content across domains. The program includes a broad range of learning experiences grounded in research-based practices and supported by hands-on, play-based exploration. Content is integrated across core studies, offering children opportunities to engage in literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. However, there is inconsistent clarity and coherence in how learning goals, scope and sequence, and developmental progressions are articulated and connected within daily instruction. Across the materials, teacher guidance does not consistently demonstrate how skills and concepts are intentionally developed, reinforced, and advanced over time. There are missed opportunities to articulate more explicitly, coherently, and systematically how learning builds within and across domains to support sustained skill development.
